Privacy Policy

This policy describes information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use the website, you accept these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number submitted through a search tool goes directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email or contact message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the server may automatically receive these technical details:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, such as popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers aggregate this usage data. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
  • Sending your search requests to the right partner service
  • Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests

No Court-Record Data on File

We neither host nor sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. McMullen County content describes how to reach the County/District Clerk, local courts, official postings, and Texas search resources. Judicial-record access is chiefly governed by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. Texas Government Code section 552.003(b) excludes the judiciary from the ordinary Texas Public Information Act definition used for agency records. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is handled under that partner's privacy policy. We do not control its retention or disclosure practices, so review those terms before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to county offices, Texas courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once you leave, the destination's privacy rules govern. Review them before sharing personal details.

Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select ads.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable security measures protect collected data. No internet system can guarantee complete security, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A reported minor's information will be deleted when identified.

Your Data Rights

Depending on residence and applicable exceptions, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541 and other consumer laws may provide added rights. At a minimum, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
